Obituary for Eileen Nancy Heiden (Karpinski)

Eileen (nee Karpinski) Heiden, age 82, of Slinger, was called home to the Lord and her family on Monday, January 12, 2015 with her loving husband of 58 years by her side. She was born on December 20, 1932 in Milwaukee to Thomas and Helen Karpinski (nee Kenzorski). She met Harry in Milwaukee and they married on May 19, 1956.

Eileen took great pride in caring for foster children throughout the years and providing them with a loving home. Eileen and Harry were both very actively involved in the Bell Behrens post number 472.

Eileen is survived by her husband, Harry; children Donna Marie (Fred) Sternke, Harry Heiden JR., Thomas Heiden; grandchildren; Kristy (Kevin) Hackbarth, Kelly (Adam) Krebs, Katie Lyn (Eric) Holl, Forrest, Taylor, Kristen, Zachary and Ryan Heiden; great-grandchildren; Alyssa Krebs, Jordan Hackbarth, Connor and Brandon Holl; sibling Esther Just; siblings-in-law Helen Karpinski, Geri (Tom) Losinecki. Further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, siblings and foster child Daniel Harold.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church (200 E. Washington Street Slinger, WI 53086) on Tuesday, January 20th, 2015 at 12:00 PM with Father Richard Stoffel officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will take place at the new St. Peter’s Cemetery in Slinger. Memorials appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association (620 S. 76th Street, Suite 160 Milwaukee, WI 53214-1599).

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at The Pavilion at Glacier Valley for all the compassion and care they gave Eileen.
