Obituary for Frederick K. Kasten

Frederick K. Kasten, age 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on March 15, 1933. Married to the love of his life Judith (nee Slak) for 59 years.

Fred served in the U.S. Army and then worked for the City of Milwaukee. He served as a real estate developer and participated in various other endeavors until building and becoming the owner of the Kettle Moraine Bowl in Slinger. He was a member of the Jackson American Legion Post #486.

Beloved father of James (Fonda) Kasten, Thomas (Amy) Kasten, Karen (James) Meyers, Sandy (Todd) Sprinkmann; proud grandfather of Nikki (Brian) Williams, Kayla (Matthew) Carrell, Kyle (Sabrina Hattery) Kasten, Ryan Kasten, Cassandra and Cori Meyers; great-grandfather of Samantha and Jack Williams, Lilli and Violet Hattery-Kasten. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick C. and Agnes (nee Prochniewski) Kasten, sister Arlene Patek, brothers-in-law Jack Patek and Gerald Schmitt.

A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 12PM at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) with Father Richard Stoffel presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10AM until 11:45AM. An American Legion walk through will take place at 11:45AM. Private Interment will take place at St Adalbert Cemetery (Milwaukee, WI).
