Obituary for Winifred Hedwig Rettler (Conrad)

Winifred H. Rettler (nee Conrad), age 92, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017. She was born on April 24, 1924 in Saukville to Jacob and Hedwig (nee Luedtke) Conrad. She graduated from Port Washington High School Class of 1941. She married Albert Rettler on September 6, 1947 in Cedarburg where they lived until 1949 when they moved to West Bend. She was a secretary for Washington County Highway Department and Washington County Court House, retiring in 1994.

Winnie is survived by her children, Patricia (James) Spaeth and James (fiancée Deanne Hoffmann) Rettler; son-in-law James (Jeanie Sullivan) Kircher; grandchildren, Laurie (Jason) Meyer, Glen (Jenny) Spaeth, Jeffrey (Elisa) Spaeth, Megan (Russell) Thull, Jacob, Benjamin and Anna Kircher; great-grandchildren, Brittany and Samantha Pizzino, Alex Meyer, Tyler, Zachary, Mallory and Logan Spaeth and William Thull. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband; daughter Christine Kircher and brother Harold Conrad.

The Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N 8th Ave, West Bend, WI 53095) with Fr. Patrick Heppe presiding. The Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, March 16th from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment of ashes will take place at Holy Angels Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church.
